Another LO to share

I forgot to share this LO yesterday too :) This is the one that took me two weeks to complete LOL. It's for the new challenge blog from WIOIN. Check it out (though there are only two days left to enter).

Announcement . . .

Well, I thought it was about time that I shared my big news. I am a proud new member of the White With 1 Creative Team. I'm really chuffed, as this is a challenge site that I have been playing along with for some time now.

The basic premise for the monthly challenge is to scrap using white as the main colour, with one other colour and one other criteria (eg element, technique, product type etc)

Here are the CT application LOs.

White with yellow - flourishes

White with pink - no flowers

And here is a sneak peak of the upcoming criteria. Note the black and white photo so as not to give it away before the big reveal ;)

Stay tuned to see October's gorgeous colour and challenge.

Confession

Bless me bloggers, for I have sinned. It's been nine days since my last post . . . . LOL

The truth of the matter is I don't feel like I have anything interesting to share. Stuff has been happening, sports days, seminars, play dates, sickness, drying out 20kg of roma tomatoes! etc. But who wants to hear about all that right?

And as for scrapping . . . . well I have been working on the same LO at Tuesday Club for 2 weeks now. All I have to do to finish it is journal and doodle. It is sitting up on my trolley in the dining room, staring at me every time I walk past. But I am so racked with guilt over the state of the house and the paid work I need to do that I just can't quite bring myself to complete it. IYKWIM

The good news is that today I can finally get to the housework, and then maybe I will have something to share this evening. Fingers crossed!

And now photos. Ever wanted to know what 20kg of tomatoes looks like?

I should explain that these are going to be made into tapenade to sell at upcoming shows with our Olive Oil (That's Welly Boot Extra Virgin - in case you were wondering!).

Must be off and try to get the boy to school on time - that would make it the first time this week!

Spine Tingling Good!

Check this out:

Choirs like this are the reason I got inspired to start singing again . . . now if I could just find a choir like this in Bunbury!

Something Different and Something to Share

Well, I tried my hand at a little arty project a few days ago. The idea was to create a set of canvases to hang in the Kids' bathroom. I am pretty happy with the way this turned out, but I think the look may be a little . . . aggressive(?) for a bathroom. What do you think?

And as for displaying it anywhere else in the house, well the colours are just all wrong LOL. So I am really not sure what to do with it :)

For the damask pattern I used a technique called "Gel Medium Transfer". I found a tutorial here. A lot of fun and has added quite a lot of glossy texture to that area of the canvas.

So that was something different, now something to share - sort of. Here are a couple of sneak peeks. I will reveal all a little later LOL

And now it' off to Tuesday Club for two and a half hours of uninterrupted scrapping with my girls!

Inspired!

I have just read the best tutorial on making interesting backgrounds with spray inks. Check this out over at OLW. I can see a few of these popping up in my next LO's :)

Two Birds . . . One Stone

So here is my offering for the OLW challenge for this week. Yes I made it this time! The "word up" was Beauty. And what more beautiful subject than my own DD3?

I have also combined this challenge with the Pagemaps sketch for this fortnight too. Here's the sketch:

I luuurve Becky's sketches. They're so interesting, modern and open to interpretation.

So if you are feeling a little inspired by either of these challenges, you should pop over to either of the sites and have a go! There's still plenty of time :)
